Beth

Beth, the model of efficiency, keeps the front desk organized, managing to track inventory, greet clients, and make appointments seemingly without effort. When not behind the desk, Beth can sometimes be found with hammer and level in hand, hanging pictures throughout the Salon!  

Duane

Since graduating from Capri Institute of Cosmetology in 1985, Duane Edward has worked steadily to master the most exacting hair cutting and coloring techniques through advanced studies at Jingles International and Vidal Sassoon. These studies include free hand hair cutting and texturizing techniques at Jingles International and precision hair cutting and coloring at Vidal Sassoon.

Duane is also an Educator and Platform Artist for Tocco Magico. He frequently travels to salons throughout the United States to teach hair stylists advanced hair cutting and coloring techniques.

As the owner of Duane Edward’s Salon, Duane works closely with all salon staff to ensure that each and every client’s visit is enjoyable and that all services meet the highest standard of quality.            

Kristen

Having been in the business for 15 years, Kristen has hair cutting in her blood! Her specialty is foil highlighting, and she keeps on top of the newest trends in color and hair styles. Between her job at Duane Edwards, two children, and a husband, she’s always in perpetual motion. 

Kristen is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Doree

Three time award winning hair color master, Doree Mortillo is a nationally acclaimed hair color consultant trained in Milan and Rome as well as New York City. Doree is a coach to the most elite American stylists, sharing with them hair coloring techniques and methods developed in the topprofessional training centers of Europe.

Warm and approachable, Ms. Mortillo creates an atmosphere of relaxation while effortlessly correctingeven the scariest at-home disasters.

Doree uses Tocco Magico, the lowest ammonia hair color with a coconut cream base that isnfused with 7 all natural herbs. Tocco Magico color infuses shine and body into the hair shaft. Her special weaving and slicing technique transforms “mousy blondes” or “boring browns” intomulti dimensional masterpieces and enhanced skin tones. There is absolutely no limit on her abilityto correct, change or augment every head of hair she touches.

Doree’s hours are very limited , and they are filling up fast: Tuesdays only from 10:00 to 8pm.

Gail

Duane Edward’s is happy to welcome Gail Adrian to its staff! Recently relocated to the area, Gail has worked in the finest salons of Manhattan such as Jon Guenter and Saks Fifth Avenue. Specializing in color, Gail has twenty years experience in the technical art of multidimensional hair coloring. Varying shades of blond, Tortoise shelling, and low lights are just a few of the options available.

Unusual for a colorist, Gail is also a licensed aesthetician. In addition to the typical range of skin care services, e.g., facials, waxing, Gail offers reintegration energy sessions, reflexology, and herbal and aromatherapy sessions.

In addition to cosmetology licenses in New York and New Jersey, Gail is certified in Reiki I and II, reflexology, and holds a diploma in aromatherapy

Her addition to the staff allows the Salon to expand its growing line of skin care and make-up services as well as to add another professional colorist.

Gail is available Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Melissa

Melissa earned her cosmetology license while a student at Morris County Vo-Tech, and first began working at the Salon in the summer 2003 as a salon assistant. After graduating from Vo-Tech, she completed the Salon’s training program for stylists, and has been on the floor since spring 2005. You’ll find her talented, and well-trained.

Melissa is available most days for hair, nail, and waxing services.
